Efficient Surrogate-Assisted Parameter Analysis for Coal-Supercritical Water Fluidized Bed Reactor with Adaptive Sampling

چکیده

Supercritical water fluidized beds (SCWFBs) are promising and efficient reactors for the gasification of coal in supercritical water. The understanding investigation multi-phase flows as well process usually rely on time-consuming experiments or numerical simulations, which prohibit fast full exploration single coupled effects operation geometric parameters. To this end, paper builds an surrogate-assisted parameter analysis framework SCWFB reactor. Particularly, (1) it establishes a steady simulation model reactor subsequent analysis; (2) employs Gaussian surrogate modeling via adaptive sampling to serve approximation predicting carbon conversion efficiency (CE) Based framework, investigates five independent parameters (the mass flow rate water, slurry, temperature outer wall length) their interactions reaction performance terms (CE). We found that CE increases function length; while decreases slurry. Additionally, global sensitivity demonstratesthat influence exerts stronger effect than all other factors CE, interaction among has slight CE. This research provides useful guidance scaled-up designs optimization

Process Analysis and Control Design for Coal Gasification in Recirculating Fluidized-bed Reactor

A most widespread method for coal gasification is the use of fluidized bed reactors. A new concept in recirculating fluidized bed gasification is the Judd twocompartment gasifier. The two compartments provide separated zones for gasification with steam and for combustion with air, within the same vessel. The circulation of inert solids transmits the heat from the combustion zone into the gasifi...

Control of a Fluidized Bed Polyethylene Reactor

In present paper, dynamic behavior and control of a fluidized bed reactor for polyethylene production has been considered. A double active sites model for Ziegler-Natta catalysts is used for simulation of polymerization reaction. Hydrodynamic behavior of the bed is modeled using a two phase model including bubble and emulsion phases in which bubble phase has plug flow pattern with different...

Comparison of coal/solid recovered fuel (SRF) with coal/refuse derived fuel (RDF) in a fluidized bed reactor.

An experimental study was undertaken to compare the differences between municipal solid waste (MSW) derived solid recovered fuel (SRF) (complying with CEN standards) and refuse derived fuel (RDF). Both fuels were co-combusted with coal in a 50 kW fluidized bed combustor and the metal emissions were compared. Synthetic SRF was prepared in the laboratory by grinding major constituents of MSW such...

Simulation for Supporting Scale-Up of a Fluidized Bed Reactor for Advanced Water Oxidation

Simulation of fluidized bed reactor (FBR) was accomplished for treating wastewater using Fenton reaction, which is an advanced oxidation process (AOP). The simulation was performed to determine characteristics of FBR performance, concentration profile of the contaminants, and various prominent hydrodynamic properties (e.g., Reynolds number, velocity, and pressure) in the reactor. Simulation was...

Fuzzy Modeling for an Anaerobic Tapered Fluidized Bed Reactor

Fuzzy modeling has great adaptability to the variations of system configuration and operation conditions. This paper investigates the fuzzy modeling of a laboratory scale system of anaerobic tapered fluidized bed reactor (ATFBR). The studied system is the anaerobic digestion of synthetic wastewater derived from the starch processing industries. The experiment was carried out in a mesophilic ATF...
